Dr. Barkoe was born in Brooklyn, New York and
attended Erasmus Hall High School, Brooklyn College and New York
University College of Dentistry. During his last year at
Brooklyn College he won a New York State Regents Scholarship for
Dentistry (only30 awarded to over 10.000 students in N.Y.
state) . He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force Dental Corps
(1970-1972) and completed several post-doctoral residencies at
Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. He received an honorable
discharge, moved to South Florida and entered private
practice. He is a member of the American Dental Association,
Florida Dental Association, Atlantic Coast District Dental Society
and Atlantic Coast Dental Research Clinic for implants and
prosthetics. He has taken many post-graduate courses
including implant placement and restoration, cosmetic dentistry,
periodontal and oral surgery.
